Our Supply Chain

Upper Canada Weaving makes every attempt to keep our supply chain as local, environmentally sustainable and from within the Ontario Fibreshed. Our local fibreshed is a 400 kilometre region located in Ontario, Canada. We source our fibre: wool, alpaca, mohair and flax from farms; our dye stuffs: goldenrod, sumac from forage and indigo, cochineal, madder from cultivation; process our fibre at Ontario mills. Because our local fibreshed is not warm enough to grow cotton, we source from fibresheds which grow cotton.
