This undyed, with dyed pink accent stripe, tweed is for a very special project that has been on the back burner for many years now.

Custom-made Summer and Winter Coverlet

Summer and Winter was an early 19th century Ontario coverlet technique. It allows for bold and clean designs with a minimum of harnesses. I adore the look and texture of these coverlets. I’m in love with
Cotton off-white on white Birdseye on 3 harnesses tea towels.
The odd number harness design of these towels contributes to their absorbency.

The sunshine on this Cottage Blanket makes me happy!

This pattern is inspired by our lovely Ontario cottage country. Blue sky and lakes; yellow sunshine; green coniferous trees and the brown of the Canadian Shield. All of these gorgeous colours are
It’s such a joy to see parallels between objects in the visual arts. In this case, a blanket and a stained glass window.
When I took this goose eye blanket off the loom, I was struck with its similarity to a window in our house. The play of li
Such an honour to weave this beautiful floatwork pattern from the wonderful collection of old Ontario coverlets. And, there is no better place to appreciate a coverlet than on a bed.
